Since our inception in November 2020, our journey has been dedicated to addressing South Africa’s pressing health challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, which has added significant strain to an already burdened health system.

Our vision is clear: to impact the lives of the poor, vulnerable, and disadvantaged communities through practical designs and implementation of actions, in consultation and partnerships with affected communities. We strive for operational excellence and customer satisfaction, ensuring our approaches are efficient and effective. Strategic Initiatives and Community Impact
Lefika La Ka focuses on several key areas to maximize our community impact:
Health Services: We aim to alleviate the strains of diseases like HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and now COVID-19. Our wellness checkpoints provide holistic health screenings, crucial for early detection and intervention, thus reducing the burden on our healthcare system.
Gender-Based Violence (GBV): With South Africa facing one of the highest rates of GBV, we are committed to prevention and offering support and healing for both survivors and perpetrators. We aim to break the cycle of violence by addressing its root causes through community-based interventions.
Cancer Care Connect: Early detection of cancer through regular screening is another pillar of our initiative, designed to improve cancer outcomes and save lives.
Non-Communicable Diseases: We address the rise of diseases like diabetes and hypertension, promoting lifestyle changes and regular monitoring to prevent severe complications.

Each member, from the nursing staff to the administrative personnel, is driven by a commitment to deliver health services with compassion and efficiency.

Looking ahead, Lefika La Ka plans to expand our services, relying on a blend of self-funding, donations, and sponsorships, while exploring avenues for donor funding.
